Do you mean save the image for your self? or re-create it?

I dont see any background effect at all....Justa funky green and a funky fleshy color. To figure out how they got the images to blend with the background drop one of the images to your HD and examine it. Youll see how they did it immediately.
There is an image of  the woman when you go down a link. I presume this is the one mentioned. When you right click on it a dialog box appears and you can't save as. Other than that the image just has some feathering on it.

i dont want to save the imagine. But i would like to create an imagine like what appeared on the site..
Gonna have to explain which image youre talking about. As mentioned before, if you save the image to your HD and have a look at it in Photoshop youll see immediately how it was done. All the images on the site use basically the same principals.
ok....
thank you
I assume you mean the picture in the middle frame!

Get the girl on a new layer, select it, get a new layer under the current one, expand your selection and fill it with a darker solor than the background. Then deselect and use Gaussian blur to get the fade-effect.
To get the fade to background-effect on the bottem select the Rubber-Tool and a large smooth brush an clear the bottom.
Right theory, wrong implimentation icebear. Youve got to fill it with the same color and there is not gaussian blur there. its just a gradient from the bottom of the image up which uses a transparent color for the top.
Well, your right, weed

just wondering..wouldnt it work a lot easier of one just made a rectangular marquee selection on the bottom of the image, gave it a high feather value, like for eg, 16 pixels (TWICE--since it doesnt accept a greater value than that....) and then hit the delete key? I'm sure it should have the same effect!?

There are 650 different ways to accomplish the task in PS. Using the gradient just kills the step of filling the background with the web background color.
well, i just thought it was a longer route for what could be easier accomplished; by just drawing a marquee, featherning it and then just delete!....:)

The image isnt semi-transparent though. It actually fades to the same color as the background of the web page. Doesnt matter either way as long as you remember to put the background color behind it after feathering.
Thank you guy.
