URGENT: VB helpfile in Excel 2000 not working
When in Excels 2000's VB editor and I hit context sensitive help (F1) while over a keyword, a window opens with the title:
"Microsoft Visual Basic Help"
- but nothing in the window, which is coloured grey. I think the help facility is looking for a file which is NOT on my PC
- any solutions would be great if you know of any.
Thanks,
Dave

I am running Excel under Win2000 and on a network - my colleagues all have access on their accounts - I was hoping I could copy a file from their profile - since
1. I don't have access to the disk
2. the helpdesk here recommend re-imaging my PC (and thus losing all local settings - which I really don't want to do)

do you know the name of file(s), or should I replace the whole directory??
VBA help files should begin with VBA...

it seems my PC will open helpfiles (.hlp files), but there's something wrong linking these files to the office applications as when I try to open the help files, I do get a window, but its grey with nothin in it. Might try to re-install Office - any other ideas - missing / corrupt link file perhaps?? I noticed this is PC specific, as when logged onto another PC (under my logon) they all worked.
Thanks for help to date - any more would be great.

Is it my fault to try to help here by participating in your question as the only expert so you gave me B???
You should wait for another answer or should request pending delete instead awarding me with B without asking my idea. This is not a "may be this is solution" question. Works or not, so A or Request Pendind Deletion.
