DSL VPN connection sharing

I have the following setup:
1. network Router at main plant to internet.
2. remote facility network that has a single dsl line.

I want to the remote facility computers to use the one dsl line that has a dynamic IP from the internet provider to be able to VPN to the main facility. What is the cheapest way to do this. The main facility has win2k server. the remote facility is a win2k workgroup.

What king of DSL router is at the remote site?  Are you NATing?  What kind of router is at the main site?

The network router at the main plant is a netgear. the router at the remote site will just be switch/dsl router combo. something like a dlink or low end netgear.

You need to find out if your Netgear support GRE and PPTP/IPSEC
hi,
create vpn connection from remote site to main site
when ask for host name or ip address use ip address of main site router ip address (must be static ip).
after creating connection go to its propery and option tab and select use windows logon domain
make sure on router UDP port 1701 if you use L2TP
and if you use PPTP TCP port 1723 are open.
Will this allow all the computers at the remote site to see and use files at the main site?
Let me see if I understand sjhaveri
1. VPN in to my static address at the main site
2. When prompted with HOST NAME or IP ADDRESS use the main plants router IP ADDRESS
3. Go to the property page of the VPN connection and click on the option tab.
4. Select windows logon domain
5. I use PPTP so I have to check if port 1723 is open on the router.

Will this make all the computers at the remote facility appear on the network at the main facility?
ADMINISTRATION WILL BE CONTACTING YOU SHORTLY.  Moderators Computer101 or Netminder will return to finalize these if still open in seven days.  Please post closing recommendations before that time.
