256 color icons in system tray

Once I came across a link to a site where a freeware offered could patch WIN98SE to display system tray icons in 256 colors as against normal 16 colors. It also said that WIN2000 has that feature & WIN98 (1st ed.) or WIN95 can not be patched. Unfortunately I did not bookmark that link. I need information about the said patch and/or any registry / file tweaking that might enable WIN98SE to do so.

Sorry rcm9445. These are NOT what I want. It is not a utility by itself, it is like a patch that somehow modifies WIN98SE system files.
Let's keep looking....

Vinnnnie: You got it wrong! That's NOT what I asked, read my Q again.
happy1: Your tip works like a charm. Although I have WIN98 1st ed., the file ver. & size of explorer.exe is the same as you mention so I patched it like you said AND IT WORKS! You have more such tips to offer, don't you? ;-)

1st time I awarded an Excellent!!! grade since I have not come across anything even close to a tip like patching explorer.exe's program execution. I know how to patch this file to change START menu button name, or START menu option names. (Anybody want them put up some points so that I can grab some :-)

BTW, if you like experimenting, you can try to reverse second patch - I think it might work with just:

00004B6B: 01 -> 11
