MacOSX on NT 4 network - not connecting
I have a network with a NT 4 server running Appletalk for 2 MACs. One is running OS 8.6 and is connecting just fine to the server. The other is running OSX, and I can't get it to find the server. I have tried the auto detect and I have even set the network/node address. It can get to the internet and even a Snap Server, but it will not find the NT server. What am I doing wrong here, it won't even find the server with TCP/IP when I enter an IP address. Thanks for any suggestions.
What version of OS X? the original had a big issue with dos formatted drives on local or network interfaces.
If you set up FTP services on the PC will the OSX box connect?

It probably would, I am having problems with the IIS on it though, I have to reinstall service pack and then reinstall IIS, because when I added the FTP option in the IIS option pack I got errors when logging into the FTP. They are running Outlook Web Access, is that going to be complicated if I uninstall IIS and reinstall it? Thanks for your suggestions, I will check the OSX version also.

Daft question - Did you turn on Appletalk in the Network prefs Applet? Then you can use network browser
Grab 10.1.5 which was released yesterday. It fixes several bugs including some that caused problems when connecting to windows servers.

I did these updates that they have referred to, and it still does not connect, but that does not matter now, I just use FTP to transfer files.
On a different OSX machine I installed the latest updates, and that did fix the problem.
Thank you for your patience.
