BackupExec - Not Appendable (Media Full)

Hello,

I'm using BackupExec 11d. I'm running daily jobs with the Media Set Properties set to Overwrite and Append - Infinite. I'm using a seperate tape for each job. With new media the job runs fine but the next time round the job prompts for new media and the media is stamped as Not Appenable (Media Full) Anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Is it a possibilty that the media has been PHYSICALLY write protected???

are  you associating the media with the correct media set ?? Please verify that the correct media set is specified in the concerned job properties Device and Media settings pane.
also check the properties for the media and see if it shows you any overwrite protection.
The media might be getting associated with the wrong media set or there could be an issue with the job configuration.
For now if you want to run your current jobs you can simply drag and drop the media in the SCRATCH MEDIA set in the MEDIA pane.
or
right  click on the medi and select the option to ASSOCIATE WITH MEDIA SET and select the SCRATCH MEDIA from the drop down menu. The jobs should run for now
check your media protection level and the job configuration again.

Media is not physically write-protected
Yes - media is associated with correct media set
Append to media and Overwrite media is selected

Thanks for the suggestions I'll check the jobs and see how it goes tonight and update.

Yesterday's backup was sucessful but I had to set the job to Overwrite Media.
