“dcmctl updateconfig” on standalone forms& reports apps 10gR2 server.
We are having the standalone forms& reports application server -1og R2. We would like to do certain configuration changes in application server to support - Direct print from oracle forms to printer.
As per oracle metalink ID’s, after doing certain configuration changes to config files, note advises to run the “ >dcmctl updateconfig”, command.
I little confused, should I run this command on production or not. The reason as I told you above, we does not have Meta repository installed, the instance is just standalone forma & reports. For your understanding lines of command code I have pasted here.
--Add a line like :
AliasMatch ^/forms/test_area/(..*) "D:\test_area/$1"
-- Issue the following commands:
$ORACLE_HOME/dcm/bin/dcmct
--- ------
