Suggestion for other Linux OS instead of FREEBSD
Looking for suggestion on Linux OS
What should i change to
I would like to change my server OS,
I'm rather new to linux,
I have a server in my office which is on FreeBSD
I use the server to host a internal office website for just 20 users and for file sharing.
I feel it is quite hard to find solutions for freebsd online cas many commands are not standard unlike UBUNTU or Fedora which i had no problems with.

Ubuntu http://www.ubuntu.com/ and CentOS http://www.centos.org/ seem to be the most popular Linux systems right now.

Reading forums UBUNTU is more flexible then CentOS,
security wise would there be any advantage on Cent VS Ubuntu?

ClearOS, never heard before, but the demo looks interesting, gonna try to use my spare laptop to setup a server for trial.
For server OS's, providers have long made the following choices:
-Debian
-CentOS
-SuSE
Ubuntu and Fedora are the most popular desktop OS'es, so some providers take this into account and offer Ubuntu and Fedora as server as well.
This may seem adequate, especially since Ubuntu comes in a server variant.
However: Ubuntu is just a derivative of Debian designed for the ease of use as desktop OS for people who are no Linux experts. For this, it makes some severe compromises, like getting rid of the root user. Seeing that almost each administrative task you have to perform on a server requires the root privilege, for server administration the ease of use of Ubuntu makes it more complicated.
Debian, on the other hand, is the original thing. Like Ubuntu for pros. Software and package management wise both distros are interchangeable and 100% compatible, so you get whatever from either of them.
It's a matter of taste, of course, but personally I'd never dream of running Ubuntu on a server as long as I can get it with Debian: http://www.debian.org/
