Master Browser Issue PDC running Server 2003
After Transfering master Roles to this serfer, I am getting a master browser error from about 10 computers
"The master browser has received a server announcement from the computer AP00647 that believes that it is the master browser for the domain on transport NetBT_Tcpip_{4618B391-A8FC -41F7-B43F -4A8D4F3FF 03D}. The master browser is stopping or an election is being forced. | Event: 8003 | EventLog: system"
I have found several recommended solutions, but they only deal with the sysmtom, rather than the problem. Most sources recommend turning off the Browers service in each computer, there is also a Microsoft Hot fix which may be risky
Hoping to find a solution
Thanks

>>Will this have a negative impact on the workstations?
No.
>>Do they need the Computer Browser service to keep the server list current?
No. Only the master browser (which is always a DC on an AD domain) and any backup master browsers (other DCs or servers on the network if needed) will provide a browse list to workstations.
No.
