We have it on the desktop and it opens, add it to the server, and cant open it. <br />

So how come if I have the docx on my desktop it opens fine, but when i try and open it on the server it plays up with that error?<br />

Is installing the comp pack on the server neccesary? Or if you open a docx on a file server isnt it just your pc's comp pack being called into action, not the server?

We are still uising word 2003. We keep getting docx files which we have some compatibility pack on each machine that allows us to open them.
