Yes i am having this problem when i try to open pdf in browser.
The "Display PDF in browser" is arleady checked.
I have noted that when i uncheck it, i do not get the error message again but then i cannot print any pdf in browser.
Perhaps i should reinstall Adobe X and try installing something like Adobe 9.5? is this compatible with windows 7? or before i reinstall there are more ideas out there?
ok, so which browser you are using?
for example in firefox you can set which application should open pdf, here you have something about it.

I don't think that Version 9.5 was better, eventually try to reinstall Adobe Reader X. But before check your browser option;)
