Windows Server 2008 Permissions
How do I grant permissions on a Windows 2008 Server so that only one person can delete folders, but everyone else can do everything else.
I would remove the inheritance on the folder then create two groups. One for standard access and one that has the delete rights. Add the groups to the security properties of the folder and in the Advanced security settings under special permissions you can select or deselect the delete option. Don't use deny rights. It'll work but it gets you in trouble in the long run. But that's just from a general system management point of view.

Thanks. Another question.....is there a way to set permissions so that users can do everything but delete or move folders?
