Network cable with T568A at one end and T568B at the other end
I have a client that moved into their office building and inherited a wired network of Cat5e cable, patch panel and RJ45 jacks. The patch panels seem to have been punched down using the T568B scheme, but many of the network jacks were punched down using the T568A scheme. I was told they used to work, but the one I tested wasn't working, but the jack had some pin issues. I am being told the network is really slow at times. So... my question is... will using T568A at one end of a network cable work with it being T568B at the other end? If so, would it cause the network to be slow?
