Windows server 2008 R2 Enterprise isnt seeing the 1tb drive I have installed
I have a Prolaint DL380 G7, it has the 8 bay 2.5 drive. When i bought it it had 4 of the bays using 300GB drives. I bought 4 SAS MDL 1TB 6G 7.2 hard drive to put in the other 4 bays. When I check disk management it is not seeing them. I loaded a driver update for the server. It still is not seeing them any ideas?
Which controller? Your controller most likely doesn't support non-RAID/JBOD - the drives would need to be configured in RAID before they can be seen by the OS.

So I would need to set this up in the post?
Unless you have a UEFI BIOS, (or Itanium) then the largest logical drive the O/S will support for booting is 2.09TB. So I suggest configuring those to a RAID10 and you'll be fine.
(Alternately, use them for a "D" Drive)

I already have a boot drive, using these for storage. I just need to be able to see them so I can set them up.
