Thank you Davvid and Andrew,

The purpose of USB thumbdrive/DVD drive would just to install OS's. Just a simple request.

I thought I was also add, as USB is virtualised, in VMware vSphere, it's slow, so therefore it's much slower at installing from a USB flash drive, then copying to a datastore (VMFS).

which is why we copy all our ISOS to a VMFS or NFS share, for installation of VMs!

installing anything from DVD/CD or ISO files is simple with ESXi vSphere Client of vCenter vSphere Client, you just have to click CD/DVD/Tool button and connect to correct ISO or CD/DVD drive connected to your laptop, it's not have to be done via connecting anything to ESXi itself directly.
Also as Andy suggest all DVD/CD you should have into ISO files and store on NFS datastore or just one VMFS datastore and connect their in the same way but connect then with "Connect to ISO image on a datastore" at the same button.
