Issues sending large attachments from a Mac with an Exchange account

I have an SBS2008 server onsite with all Windows 7 Pro clients in its domain
I have several Macs running Mac Mail configured to use their new exchange account. The Macs are not in the domain. They access their email thru "remote.domainname.com"

I have the Exchange server attachment size set at 20MB's
The Windows PC's have no issues sending attachments up to around 18 MB's

 - however the Mac's cant send a 9 MB attachment. I read that this is a know issue and that there may be registry changes that need to be made on the server. Not sure if these "so - called" settings actually work. Obviously Microsoft has no feedback on this because they don't support Mac

one resolution was to install Office for mac 2011 but none of my users want to use office for mac 2011

Strung, thanks for replying to many of my posts.
Using Mac mail for an exchange account has been a bear when it comes to attachment sizes. If I were to install "office for mac 2011", this may not be an issue but mac mail users don't want office for mac

I will be addressing the registry entries this week.
Thanks for the links. I'll try them
