I work in a school and rip DVD's to the Server on the Network so that teachers can play DVDs over the network. (All legal)<br />

What is the best format to rip them in MP4 or VOB - or is there a better format - and what program is best to use - I have been using DVDFab, but I think that all my DVDs on the hard drive have become corrupt and so I'm going to have to recreate then - there are about 30 - so it is going to take some time. I am thinking of using Aimersoft instead as I already use one of their other products Video Converter - any suggestions<br />
Also what is the best player to use - I load VLC onto the boxes at the school - is this the best one ?<br />
