Need help from Hotmail user

I log into my hotmail account as usual.
...........@hotmail.

See the 2nd image below. That is normal and the way it has been until today.
Since I wanted to see our local weather on MSN I logged out of Hotmail and then checked the weather and log back in.
The re-login screen for my hotmail account was normal. Once login was completed I get the screen you see below (the first one).

It shows no messages and I clicked on everything and can not get it to go back to the mailbox which contains 100's of important messages.

We know Outlook is new but there is an option to keep the old "look" and we took that.
I've never seen this screen until today.

I have three Microsoft e-mail accounts.
1. ...........@Outlook.com
2. ...........@Hotmail.com
3. ...........@Hotmail.com

The login screen for all three is always the same. Whether you enter @Outlook or @Hotmail is up to you.

I am logged in normally to #3 using FF.
I am logged into normally to #2 by using the back space key to leave MSN main page and going back.
I am also logged into the unknown account you see in the first image. The tab at the top does have my user name and the tab at the top which was cropped off, says "mail my user name Outlook. And curious this is using Google Chrome.
I'm worried to log out of #2 and not be able to access the hundreds of e-mails.

I may need to send the entire folders to my ISP mail box to save them in case they would be lost with a log out and all attempts to log back in to .......@Hotmail.com gets me this unknown Outlook window that shows no messages at all.

I do not know how to back up anything so the simple way may be to locate the Hotmail folder and save it to the desktop or send it to my ISP mail program.

They are 3 different accounts. One I have open in Chrome and the other in FF. I can not have the Outlook account open unless one of the others is closed.
I have had these for 10+ years. And both Hotmail accounts open all day.

I have never seen the new screen which appears to say there are no messages in the folders on the left side when there are maybe 700-1000 messages.

Never seen this before.

Look at the 3 yellow arrows. All confirm I am logged into my Hotmail account #2 (with Google Chrome).
But there are no mail folders and the ones on the left are empty.

I need to save the messages somehow before logging out and trying to log in after clearing cookies, etc. which has never been required before.

Microsoft has too much stuff. I've never known what live dot com is. They have even pulled Bing in some countries recently in favor of a competitors search tool.

If I just go to MSN my weblink to the local weather is not there. I have to be logged into my hotmail account which is the same as outlook.com to see the local weather link and then go back to the top left where is says "outlook.com" and click on that and log in as "........@Hotmail.com. (not Outlook)

I just logged into my Hotmail Account and got logged into Outlook.com with a different email address (my Microsoft live address) and no mail there.

I logged out and logged back in with my Hotmail account and the old (non-essential) email was there.

I think you probably have a cookie/remembered password/remembered link issue.

I'll try that later in the day. I am trying to locate the mail folder to save the contents before logging out. I have 2000 important messages in those two Hotmail accounts.
--------------------------------
Here is where I login in every day. I enter user name @ hotmail dot com and always get what you see in the second screen shot at the top. But, today I get the page you see in the first screen shot.

One more suggestion.
You could try to use a client email (email application) as Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express or Thunderbird or Incredimail or whatever and setup POP3 and try to access/download the emails in your PC.
If nothing comes, then is nothing there and you must contact customer support from Hotmail/Outlook/Microsoft.

We have Vista that has "Windows Mail"  90% of the world does not know it exist.

We can not use the others as far as I know.

I can not explain the first screen shot at the top. I went to internet options and deleted temp. files and then logged in normally. I do not know if that was a factor. It has never been a factor before today if it was.

I am logged in using FF and Chrome.

Thanks for the update. I think it was old history (various forms) and Outlook.com was using old data. Microsoft is trying to make everyone use the email address for Microsoft Live also for Outlook.com. That is NOT my Hotmail account and it is a pain in the butt.   By the way, always happy to help.

This is new when you click on outlook dot com.
Are they wanting to merge the 4 you see underlined, and make everyone use just one of their mail programs?

It eventually takes you to your inbox if you are logged in. If not then go to www dot hot mail dot com and login from the window seen above ID: 41024681
