Outlook 2013 Corrupt Sent Items
Hey Guys,
I have a client using Outlook 2013 that is having an issue with attachments. This issue is not consistent, but sometimes the attachment she sends seem to get corrupted and are unable to be opened by the receipent. When this user goes into her Sent Items in Outlook 2013, the attachments corrupt in the Sent email as well. She sent me an email with 2 files in it, one Excel File that cannot be opened, it says" File Format is not valid" and a Word Doc that just opens with a File Conversion Box that says "Select the encoding that makes your document readable"
We initially thought the issue was with the client she was sending it to, but it appears to even be corrupted in her Sent Items as well, so it is being delivered unreadable. The Excel File is 1MB and the Word Doc is 476KB, just as an FYI.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

hii,
You may face this situation when your outlook data file is corrupted. Execute inbuilt MS outlook utility scanpst.exe then Try to open MS outlook in safe mode using "outlook.exe /safe" Run command.
If the above-stated method not worked for you then try to recreate your outlook profile
Thanks and Regards

Thanks for the response, the user is using POP email. My user does not live close to me and the client she is having email problems with is not someone she can email to test as he is not being very cooperative on his end answering questions. She will be emailing him again in two weeks with updated attachments. I have had her scan the PST file and suggested next time she needs to email him to try using webmail to see if the same corruption occurs.
Would you like me to Accept the Answer now or are you okay with waiting until the next time she has to email the client.
