Free (or inexpensive) software blu ray player ??

Hi all.
I have a blu ray player on my laptop. I went to watch a movie yesterday and soon realised VLC wouldn't play the disk. I did a quick Google search and couldn't believe some of the prices being asked for the software.

Does anyone know of a free player or failing that a decent priced program as I don't mind paying for programs just don't like being fleeced.

Thanks for looking experts.

Not free (and expensive) - but today is your lucky day (if you download and install within 11hours from my post).

That is my homepage, to remember to check free offers. :)
As far as I know VLC does support playing blurays. Maybe you are just missing a library like this one?

Besides that, as far as I know, in order to be able to play bluray disks, you also need a GPU that supports that. Even if you have a bluray player that, must not necessarily be the case.

Thanks all guys. I'll check the links and report back. Much appreciated
Perfect thank you. PS, steer clear of the "free web software" post in this ticket, no download link supplied, looks like they are collecting email addresses so be warned.
Glad to help!
