How to record sound in windows?

I keep using GoToMeeting/WebEx and Skype Video/audio call for meeting. All I want is to keep record of the audio conversation I have. I would like to know how can I record it in Windows 7. Thanks in advance!

Hi Jackie Man, I am using Windows 7 inside VMware fusion and I do not see the 'stereo mix' device' even after enabling the 'show disabled devices'

Appreciate if I can get help on how to proceed here

what is the audio device in the vm host and client?

I am using VMware fusion 6.0.4 on my Mac OS 10.8.5 and in the VMware fusion I am running Windows 7

It seems that it is a known issue and you cannot use stereo mix in Virtual Windows 7 under VMWare fusion.

The only option is to forget about stereo mix and use sound flower in OSX.

"Well I have found a way where you can play the sound and record with the sound flower... with the microphone and speakers set to sound flower, in the drop menu from the flower icon at the top, by clicking in built in output will give you option to play out sound, and record/edit by ear in OSX as if like using the stereo mix on a windows pc."
