I just bought a new laptop with Win 7 Pro installed, and began the process of setting up everything just like I have it on my old Win 7 laptop. &nbsp;First I installed Visual Studio 2008 (which I have to use for my Windows CE projects) to see if my projects would still work right, and they did; everything looked normal and compiled properly. 
 
So then I updated the new laptop to Windows 10. &nbsp;The problem is when I run Visual Studio 2008 and try to open one of those same projects that worked fine under Windows 7, I get this error: &nbsp; 
 
Unable to read the project file 'escanSS.vbproj'. 
C:\Users\Tim\Documents\Visual Studio 
2008\Projects\ess\ess\escanSS.vbproj(134,61): The imported 
project 
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\Microsoft.CompactFram 
ework.VisualBasic.targets&quot; was not found. &nbsp;Confirm that the path in the 
&lt;Import&gt; declaration is correct, and that the file exists on the disk. 
 
Any ideas how to fix this? &nbsp;TIA
