How to re-install 2 RAID drives after I installed win 10
How to I get my pc to recognize 2 RAID disks that I use for back up (not for OS).
My boot disk crashed. It was win 7.
I installed a new boot disk with win 10.
But it won't recognize my 2 Raid 1 disks.
This is an Asus mobo using Intel ICH10R controller for the RAID.
There is back up data on these RAID disks - from when I had win 7 running.
If I go into BIOS, Storage Configuration and set it for RAID, win 10 gets stuck while booting.
If I use BIOS with Storage Configuration set for IDE win 10 boots fine, I can see all my non RAID disks, but can't see the 2 RAID 1 disks.
There is another Storage Config - AHCI which did not work either.
When I use the Intel Matrix Storage Manager (control I) it shows the 2 RAID disks.
It seems there should be a way to give this RAID volume a drive letter, but I need Win 10 running for that. But as stated, it locks up if Bios is set for RAID.
Any ideas?
Thx
