Update 2003 active directory to windows 2008
Hello All,
I am updating a backup site that is not in a production role . I wish to update the 2003 OS acting as domain controller to 2008 . Normally , I would install a new instance then dcpromo , then transfer the roles before I bring it off line . This time , i wish to just simply update the OS to 2008 on the current dc instance . Will this break the AD ? Is this just as simple as running through the OS update process?
