I am installing some 1GB RAM on a PC that currently has 4 x512mb chips in it... The 1GB that I want to install is a single 1GB chip. Wil this work because i am not installing it in a pair??

Basically, I checked the BIOS and it shows 4GB RAM installed, but My Computer properties only recognizes 3GB. What can I do here?
