For mksysb, the smit mkdvd gives:
/usr/sbin/mkcd -L -d '/dev/cd1' -V 'rootvg
But, /usr/sbin/mkcd -L -d '/dev/cd1' -V 'rootvg doesn't work directly on the promt.
