The viewer will learn how to download, install, and customize fonts inside Adobe Illustrator CS6.

Video Steps

1. To install and use a font: Go to dafont.com and download a premade font

2. Unzip it, and open it up by double-clicking

3. Press “Install This Font” in the lower right hand corner of the preview box

4. Wait for it to install into the Font Book

5. Open up Illustrator (or restart it if it was already open)

6. Create a new blank document

7. Use the type tool to create some text

8. Select the text and use the font dropdown menu at the top to select a font

9. To customize a font: On the top menu bar, choose Type > Create Outlines

10. Use the direct selection tool to select individual anchor points

11. Drag or use the arrow keys to customize the letter
