asked on

Site to Site VPN and VOIP

I have 2 locations:

Locations A has a sonicwall tz210 with the updated firmware.  50/5 bandwith from Comcast

Locations B has a sonicwall tz200 with the updated firmware.  50/5 bandwith from TimeWarner

I have VPN setup so that both locations can talk to each other.

Each location has a NEC SV8100 with a VOIP port.  The VOIP is only used when calling between offices.

What happens is when I call the other office, after about 10 seconds of talking the other side cannot hear me but I can hear them.  HELP, WHAT CAN BE THE PROBLEM.

QOS is not enabled and VLANS is not on separate VLANS

Its weird because I never had this problem before.  I have another site to site vpn with 2 tz100, one site has the sv8100 and the other side just has an internet connection.  All I did was setup the vpn and it worked with no problem.  Please instruct me further.

Thanks guys...
Seems that your DDOS protection is blocking the voip packets
Try disable any UDP flood defense
here is a preview of my TCP settings.  The handshake is the only thing that is checked.  I also turned on NAT.  Please sugggest
TCP-Settings.doc
try increase all values and test
I increased the values but still same problem.  When I call Sonicwall Tech Support I don't the straight answer.

I need someone that has worked with Sonicwall and VOIP through VPN.  Sonicwall Tech Support can't help me.

If you guys can provide me with a step by step troubleshooting or configuring of the VOIP.

Thanks guys
You increase the values and enable the "consistent NAT" in both sides ?
Do I have to open up any ports on the Sonicwall's?
Try this test, add this rule in both sonicwall's

Even if I am using voip through VPN, still try this setting.  I know if I am using VPN I do not enable SIP or H.323.
I don't understand what do you mean, you tried this rule?

This is a just temporary rule in order to troubleshoot your problem
No, I haven't tried the rule yet but under VOIP in the services there are a multiple services such as SIP, H.323 and others.  From my understanding when you use VPN you don't need to use SIP and the other services - am I right or wrong, please educate me.
