Due to a network connectivity issue, I need an answer for the below:<br />

1. &nbsp;&quot;When I disable a NIC followed by enabling it back (to reset), what actually happened to the NIC?&quot; ie. &nbsp;does it flush out the buffer on the card or other.<br />

2. &nbsp;What are the components in a NIC, esp. is there memory/buffer to store the arp data? &nbsp;<br />

I have been searching from the Net on the technical info of the working of a NIC but in vain. &nbsp;Can you suggest a URL for me to find out more abt the insights of NIC?<br />
