Guys, I have tried all that and it still not working ...
I need to clarify something ... when every i click on a link that requires opening new window it displays a littile yellow error on the side of IE taskbar with the following info:

one more thing, i have installed and reinstalled java and enabled it in the Add-on manager

Did you uninstall IE8 & try a downgrade to IE7 and then check.

IE8 though released long ago, still is like in Beta stage seeing the many issues reported **joking**

You can use the IE-tab add-on in Firefox to open "IE in a Firefox tab". I am doing the same without problems. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419 It is not something like User Agent switching (report ff as IE) but it really opens IE in Firefox.

Sorry, does win7 have the IE8 uninstall option in the first place. I am not using win7 so unaware.

It has the option to take IE8 out, but not sure if i can do IE7 on windows 7!
as for Firebox ! i dont like to use it at all ... i use it with my nose closed :)

If its has, you can do it. IE is a core windows component. If you uninstall IE8, I think you will find IE7 without any need to install IE7. Give it a shot.

I thought u like FF but if you are using it as a workaround, try Opera. You will be impressed (if you haven't tried it)

There's no problem with IE8, removing it is probably senseless.

It sounds like you have a plug-in that's misbehaving. Toolbars are a likely culprit. Click Tools -> Internet Options -> Programs -> Manage Addons, try turning items off a couple at a time until the problem goes away.

Try running... Accessories>>System Tools>> Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) and see if that helps.

I have tried all that and no luck, this problem happened in the very beginning when I installed 7

Have you tried running anti-virus and anti-malware software?

Try Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (http://www.malwarebytes.org/) and Microsoft's Security Essentials (http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials), both are free and work well.

If you're using Windows 7 64-bit edition, try Start -> All Programs -> Internet Explorer (64-bit)

To sum it up, it was a corrupt dll or a windows update causing the issue.
