Synching folders on 2 different servers.

Hello
I have 2 windows 2003 servers. EggsterMain and EggsterBackup (really!)
They both have a folder named eggster that contains around 50 GB of data.
People work on EggsterMain all day, and EggsterBackup is a back up server in case the main server fails.
These servers are on the same local subnet with Gigabit ethernet. Rather than copying the whole folder on EggsterMain to EggsterBackup at the end of each day, I'm looking for a solution like rsync in linux that would update EggsterBackup with only the modified/changed files. How can I do this?

Completely agree with what what RED said. I have been using DFS but still have problems with replicating the data. Robocopy is the way to go. Intially to transfer the data I would suggest you to use and external usb harddisk .but from then on you can run a scheduled robocopy job to changed files .If you are interested I can copy the scipt for you .

Its  just  a modification to you script which which would send an emailt o the user too when the robocopy was successfull.I think the Eggster is happy with your script
