ASP Multiple selection Update Statement

Hi There,

Carzkiss - Please could you do the following to the files in my last query.

- Please could you add an update statement to the Multiple Ordered links and when i visit the page, the drop down's should be selected with the value's in the database.

Optional -
- Could you get rid of the checkboxes and have the drop down's as a null value and selected for the insert bit. It is because it is a long process to select what links you want.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Cheerz

Kind Regards,
Fezi

The checkboxes I will have to check into.
As for the Update statements. No problem.
Give me a little while and I will have something for you.

Yeh sure, no problem. The checkboxes are optional, it will just help me more quicker. But cheers

hope to hear from you soon..

Fezi
[The checkboxes was an easy fix, they are out.]
I am working on the update statement now.

I am going to have to break everything down and work the Statement in 1-by-1.
It is going to be a little while.

But, it will get there.

Hello Carzkiss, Thank you, everything is perfect apart from the update.asp. The update.asp is 95% there, I would like this page to ALSO display the links that are not selected. So basically, to display all links selected and unselected (and the ones that are selected to display their value in the drop down - you have done this bit) everything else is perfect..

As far as the other information about my website, i will send you all details over the weekend to the email address provided.

Kind regards,
Fezi
OK, Lets make sure that I am understanding you correctly here.

On the Update.asp page, you are wanting to see ALL the links from the database
This includes the ones that are listed in the id= and the rest?

Are you wanting to make it so that you can either choose what is Existing (or) select (NULL)
Nothing, and select others in their place?
(Hope that makes sense?)

Hello Carzkiss

Another point i am not very comfortable with, is that i have to have 10 urls to update? I don't like this idea, because some of my web pages may contain 2 links, or some may contain 20 links. Could you be able to develop this to my requirements please?

Thank You.

Let me know if you can do this. Cheers.

Answer to your questions.

Yes. Correct.

Are you wanting to make it so that you can either choose what is Existing (or) select (NULL)
Nothing, and select others in their place?
(Hope that makes sense?)

Correct. That's exactly how i want it. Basically to select others in their place or select a null value for not to select.

Cheers

Also.
Since this is dealing with another issue, would you mind opening another post?
This is a different deal all together.

Thanks.
Yes, I should be able to do something about the 10-limit issue.
