ESM error c1034ad7 "This legacyExchangeDN value is already being used"
Hello,
I understand how the above error message appeared for a user, I'm just not sure how to get what I want.
-The user account Sofia was deleted 3 months ago. Her mailbox was not purged as we needed the information later on.
-The user came back to the company, and an Administrator created a new user with the same name, and created a NEW mailbox for the user.
-The user now wants her old emails put into her new inbox that she is actively using.
I tried to attach her old mailbox to a temp account so i could export the data, and that is how I got the above message.
Any idea how I can get this data out of the old mailbox, without interrupting the user's new account and mailbox?

Correction. the Legacy Exchange DN seems to look more like the user's logon account name, which was made the same.
I'm not sure If i will be successfully this evening but i'll post what i find.
If anyone has been in the same situation, i would appreciate some advice.

This link doesn't really have the answer for me, but at least I think I could do the following.
1. Slightly change the user's smtp addresses in her new account.
2. reconnect her OLD mailbox to the temp account and export the data.
3. delete temp account, purge old mailbox.
4. reset users smtp addresses.
5. import the data into her new mailbox.
Will try tonight.
