View shared calendar through outlook web access (light) in exchange 2007
We have several secretaries in our organization and they all view several shared calendars of the executives. One of the secretaries is a Mac user and therefore can not use outlook 2007. Eventually she will probably use entourage but we have not tested that yet, but in the meantime we would like her to use outlook web access (light via safari) to view the shared caleandars. I used to do this on exchange 2003 but something must be different in exchange 2007 because the old ways dont seem to work.
Say for example executive "Marc" has a shared calendar called "Leaves" in which he has all of the employees that are on vacation or gone for whatever reason, and all of the secretaries need to view this calendar.
how would Secretary "Lisa" on Safari on Mac OS view Marcs Shared Calendar "leaves" via OWA?
Thanks

I try that and i get a offwhite page that says:
The folder path specified in the Outlook Web Access URL does not point to an existing folder. Or you may not have sufficient permissions to view it.
I know I have sufficient privilieges because I have it set up to view in my outlook.
The url I used: (with a couple name substitutions)
https://exchange.dept.univ.edu/owa/marc@pa.msu.edu/?cmd=contents&f=leaves
Help! THanks!

The user@domain.com needs to be the SMTP address of the calendar's owner. Is that what you used? If the SMTP address is different to the UPN, then it becomes significant.

Yes I used the SMTP address.
Is the Leaves folder a subfolder of the user's main Calendar? Or is it in the mailbox root, along with Inbox, etc.
ASKER
I believe it is a sub calendar of the main calendar.

the first one worked! Can you just explain exactly why that would work so we can translate it to other calendars...
ie, what does %2 do? What if it was a "root" calendar?
And I will be happy to assign your points!
Thanks

It like a slash in a folder name, except in http, you use a forward slash. So, to supply the location of the folder, you are passing Calendar/Leaves as a parameter. However, since the forward-slash character already has a special meaning in the context of a URL, you need to 'URL-Encode' it, otherwise IIS will just get confused, and assume it is a subfolder of OWA, and not Calendar. %2f is simply the hexadecimal representation of the ascii code for the forward-slash. The % is the escape character. If it was in the root, you just supply the folder name, since there is no other path to consider.
