Redirect all spam mails to a folder in Exchange 2007

Is it possible to setup a policy to redirect all emails that have been tagged with "SPAM" on the subject to a particular folder named "Spam" on Exchange 2007 ? This action is only assumed for external emails,  not the internal one.

Thanks
Simon.

Are you trying to do this on the Exchange server or outlook client?  If you want it on Exchange, do you want it to go to the same folder in Outlook for each user or into a folder on the server (where no users can access the files from)?

Either way, this document from Microsoft will help you:

Thanks. I have only a single Exchange with no Edige Transport server role installed. Can I do this on Hub Transport server - the only Exchange machine together with Mailbox role and Client Access  installed.

Thanks
This should work without en Edge Transport server in place.

I refer to an extraction of the article :
"Configuration changes that you make to the Content Filter agent by using the Exchange Management Console or the Exchange Management Shell are made only to the local computer that has the Edge Transport server role installed."

I have opened the Exchange console but couldn't locate the place to configure. Any further advise ?

Thanks

Well i'm not sure which option you went with.

In the Exchange Management Console, you can go to Organization Configuration->Hub Transport -> The Anti-spam tab.  Content filtering is the first option.  Is that there for you?

Thanks. I could see the option that you mentioned.

Under the Action tab, can I configure those "SPAM" subject to redirect to user 's Junk Mail folder ?

Thanks
This gets tricky.  You can add "SPAM" to the Custom Words tab so that it will mark that as spam (and leave the action blank).  Then you will need to read this info:
http://exchangepedia.com/blog/2007/02/exchange-2007-content-filter-how-to_07.html

the section on the "set-OrganizationConfig -SCLJunkThreshold" seems to be the most appropriate.

It is set to 4 by default.  This may or may not to be changed.  It's unclear as to whether or not putting the custom word in should just do the trick.

Also, it would be better to use something other than the word SPAM.  If you can have [] or ** around the word (from the program creating the spam) then you will have less false positives if someone just types the word SPAM in.
Actually, adding the custom word scans email coming in and will reject the emails that match the words entered.  It doesn't appear to scan internal emails.

So I guess you don't want that.  You want to move the "Spam" emails to each persons' junk email folder.

Depending on the number of users, you can create a rule in outlook for each user but that could be time consuming if you have tons of users.
