Windows Server 2008 hangs at welcome screen. Last error in log is WMI Event ID 10

I have been experiencing the issue where the Exchange server stops responding. Mail flow is affected by the unresponsiveness. I have to manually turn off the server and restart to be able to log back on. The last application log event is WMI Event ID: 10
“Event filter with query "select * from __instancemodificationevent within 30 where targetinstance isa 'Win32_PerfFormattedData_PerfDisk_LogicalDisk' and targetinstance.PercentFreeSpace < 1 and targetinstance.Name != '_Total'" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041002. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.”

Anybody seen this before? I get this at least once a week.

You have to check free disk space on physical and logical drives.
Go to Computer Management->Disk Management and check free space.
Also check disks on errors.

All the storage is on a SAN. I have several drives and the one that has the list amount of space has 23GB.
