What's the Best Option for an Open Source/In-Expensive Network Backup Software Solution?
I'm under a time sensitive deadline and need some advice.
Basically I'm looking to make a backup server that will administer/monitor backup jobs for all servers on my internal network. I have a mix of Windows Server 2003 & 2008 servers and a couple of Linux servers.
I've looked around and it seems like Amanda and Bacula are the best open source options available. I'm really just looking for some recommendations with descriptive examples that describe the environment. For example....I installed bacula on Debian Linux server to backup Windows XP machines.
I'm under a short time line so also looking for quickest option, but would also like to implement a scalable solution. If anyone has experience with the previous software packages or any others that you'd like to recommend please feel free to share.
Thanks - Tim
