Dreamweaver Testing Server setup for Wordpress
I am setting up a local testing server for the first time so I can work on a Wordpress site via dreamweaver and edit the template.
I installed Apache 2.2 and PHP. It is working. When I type in http://localhost I get a message saying: It works!
In Dreamweaver, I set up the testing server as follows:
Server Model: PHP/MySQL
Access: Local Network
Testing Server Folder: I used the same one as my website folder.
What is Testing Server Folder? and where should it be pointed to?
When I open wordpress index.php - There are all of these PHP icons and I can't see any design. It doesn't seem to be connecting or using a local testing server.
Can someone help me figure out how to get the Wordpress layout to appear in Dreamweaver?
Do I need to set up a MySQL - I didn't do that...
Thanks
Thank you
