Need to migrate Sharepoint Services 3 from Virtual Server to Hardware Server

Hi,

I currently have a Microsoft Virtual Server running Sharepoint Services 3 and need to migrate this to a Hardware server. The problem is that we use both local and domain accounts and I need to preserve the local accounts. The current virtual server currently has 2 partitions. Any thoughts on the easiest way to do this?

I had a hard enough time getting physical to virtual...and you want to do the opposite?

Yes... unfortunately this was supposed to be a demo and all of a sudden it is now Production. I they are not comfortable with this being on a Virtual Server (and neither am I).
I'd find a tool that migrates XP and Vista settings and programs from workstation to workstation...laptop to laptop...sort of program and try that out by moving it to a server with a different name.

It will probably be inexpensive and if it doesn't work...you can use it on other stuff.  then you can rename the new hardware to whatever after you're done and the old VM is turned off.

Of the five utilities reviewed in the above article, only two can
 migrate installed applications. They are:
          - Alohabob PC Relocator Ultra Control <--------I've used this one and it was okay.

i think you may use ImageX. it can capture your current windows install into an image, and allow you deploy the image to another computer with local users preserved.

What is ImageX?
http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsVista/en/library/a8848521-b3ca-4c6c-81f0-6954f671cfe01033.mspx

it is designed fro Vista, but it is compatible with W2K3.

hope it helps,
