The release of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus was a complete game changer for Apple. Steve Jobs had even showed his distaste for larger phones, calling them “Hummers”. But to compete with larger smartphones, Apple finally introduced the iPhone 6 with a 4.6-inch screen and the iPhone 6 Plus with a 5.5-inch screen in September of 2014. It’s the largest and the thinnest phone Apple has to offer and includes higher quality display, camera, software and battery life.

Here’s why you should buy the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus:

  1. Display: The people who are making the switch to the iPhone 6 the most are people with larger phones such as the Samsung Galaxy Note. If you want a bigger screen with a better display and readability, then the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus would be the right choice for you. The iPhone 6 has a resolution of 1335x750 pixels. The brightness levels on the iPhone 6 is also better than previous phones and the display is rich and vibrant with the improved retina HD display.
  2. Camera: Although the camera is still 8-megapixels like the iPhone 5, there is now a wider f/2.2 aperture, larger pixels at 1.5 microns and an improved auto-focus system. There is also slow-motion mode for videos.
  3. Software: iOS 8 was introduced for iPhone 6. This includes inter-app communication where content can be shared across apps. “Reachability” is also a new tool that can be used with the iPhone 6. This allows a user to double-tap their home button to easily access buttons with one hand. Siri works better as well on the new iPhone 6.
  4. Battery: If you’re looking for a more reliable phone with a strong battery life, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus is exactly what you need. On average the iPhone 6 can last 18-20 hours after one charge.

The larger screen is the biggest advantage to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. With an improved retina HD display and a higher resolution, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are perfect phones for those who want better readability. With the new dual-core 64-bit A8 processor, both phones perform better than previous iPhones.  The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have many improvements and would be a great buy if you’re planning to make a switch to a newer phone.
