The following information will get you familiar with your new DV server, including the (mt) Account Center, the Plesk Control Panel, our world-renowned support department and the rest of the (mt) tools that come with your new service.

GETTING STARTED

If you haven't already ordered your new DV server from Media Temple, click here to do that now.

When ordering your new server, there are a couple things to keep in mind:

  • The new server cannot have the same domain as an existing service at the time it is ordered (although this can be changed later, if desired)
  • Don't use a subdomain of a domain that is currently on another service. You could use something like new-example.com, or just a random string of characters like igw8aclrj2.net.

Now that you have your new DV Server, you should find the following very useful:

(mt) ACCOUNT CENTER

The Account Center is (mt)'s all-in-one hosting control panel and account management center. The Account Center is custom-tailored to fit the needs of the modern webmaster. Quick and easy access to powerful controls such as rebooting your server, managing DNS zones, and setting your root password. The single source for all your support requests, billing inquiries and more!

PLESK CONTROL PANEL

Plesk gives you a forward-thinking feature set behind a sleek, modern interface: It’s a control panel that gets the job done easily, whether you’re a solo developer or a massive agency.
