In this course, we will discuss five different domains to prepare you for the CISA exam. The first domain we will explore is the Process of Auditing Information Systems. This is an overview of what the process of auditing is from start to finish, from planning, analysing risks, and creating reports.

The second domain that we will explore is the Governance and Management of IT. We will discuss the importance of governance and how it can aid us in management. We will go over certification and the different certification models as well as management issues and human resources.

Domain three is the Information Systems Acquisition, Development and Implementation. We will address acquiring new hardware and software and whether it should be developed in-house or  by a third party. We will then explore the steps that need to be taken during the evaluation process to insure the best results.

The fourth domain will cover Information Systems Operations, Maintenance, and Reports. We will discuss the components found in a PC and a server, the infrastructure of the network, the different types of connections as well as services running on different networks. We will take a look at maintenance and support and identify what we need to be looking at as auditors.

The last domain we will discuss is the Protection of Information Assets. We will discuss the impact of hackers, as well as disaster recovery and disaster preparation to minimize risk.
