In this course, we will look at the basics of what the Windows 7 operating system is and how to navigate it. The course will introduce the Windows 7 environment to participants with little or no experience working with the Windows operating system. This course is basic and meant for beginners. The goal is to make the transition for new users in the Windows 7 environment as easy as possible.
You’ll begin with the computer, including the background of the computer, the Start menu, and the icons. Within this environment, definitions and uses of these features will be discussed.
Next, you will learn about files, folders, and libraries. This is where you’ll be keeping all your data, such as pictures, videos, music, and documents. With this basic knowledge, you’ll discuss how to manage content and focus on the organization of your data. You’ll also learn some organizational tips and tricks.
After that, we’ll discuss how to customize the Windows 7 environment through changes like editing your background and swapping mouse buttons to match your dexterity preferences.
Finally, we’ll talk about Internet Explorer 8, your main tool for exploring the internet. You will learn helpful tips that will make your future uses of Internet Explorer 8 more efficient.
