This course covers the new features of Windows 7. It assumes prior knowledge of or experience with any previous Windows versions.
First, we will explore the Windows 7 environment. Here, we will look at the desktop, the start menu, and the taskbar. Within the environment, you’ll also learn about windows management and features such as, live thumbnails, aero peek, and flip. We’ll also customize the taskbar and start menu as well as learn to work with gadgets.
Next, we will look at some organizational tools, such as libraries, folders, and searching for all the different content you can work within. After this, we’ll learn about the device stage for printers and devices as well as file protection and troubleshooting.
Finally, we will learn about the newer features in Internet Explorer 8. Specifically we will cover the new privacy and security features as well as the SmartScreen Filter and InPrivate Browsing.
