This course covers the new features of Windows 7. It assumes prior knowledge of—or experience with—any previous versions of Windows.
First, we will explore the Windows 7 environment. We will look at the desktop, the start menu, and the taskbar. You’ll learn about Windows management and features, such as live thumbnails, aero peek, and flip. We’ll also customize the taskbar and Start menu and learn to work with gadgets.
Next, we’ll look at some organizational tools, such as libraries, folders, and how to search for all the different content you can work within. After this, we’ll learn about the device stage for printers and devices, as well as file protection and troubleshooting.
Finally, we’ll learn about the newer features in Internet Explorer 8. Specifically, the new privacy and security features, the SmartScreen Filter, and InPrivate Browsing.
