This course covers the functions and features of PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP®) to prepare participants for their certification exam. The course will begin by discussing the process of preparing for the exam as well as its content and layout.
We will discuss the agile principles and mindset, including key concepts such as the effects of WIP and “Best Resourcing,” the 12 Principles of Agile Software, Scrum basics and roles, and core practices. We will then move onto Dynamic Systems Development, which includes a detailed lesson on the Dynamic Systems Development Method (DSDM) and its eight principles. Important topics like Lean Software Development (LSD), the Seven Wastes (TIMWOOD), Kanban, and SAFe will also be covered.
Value-Driven Delivery will be the next section, and will include overviews of Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kano Analysis, Expected Monetary Value (EMV), Decision Tree Analysis, Cumulative Cost Curves, forecasting, and Burndown Charts. Stakeholder engagement follows, with a discussion of the personas, Definition of Done (DoD), F2F, conflict resolution, Participatory Decision Models, and the 12 principles for leading agile projects.
To learn about boosting team performance, we will cover COCOMO, theories of management style, emotional intelligence, and high-performance teams. You will then learn about adaptive planning by highling domain tasks, the Basic Agile Project Planning Process, progressive elaboration, wideband delphi and planning poker, estimations, project delays, and SAFe.
Problem detection and resolution will cover failure modes and alternatives, continuous integration, Test Driven Development (TDD), refactoring, and problem solving. Lastly, continuous improvement will feature domain tasks, retrospectives, the pre-mortem process, and the complexity assessment.
