This course provides participants with fundamental knowledge of Perl. The course opens with an introduction to Perl, which includes lessons on literals, variables, string functions, conditionals, and loops.

Participants will then learn about data structures, input, and output. Lessons in this section will cover lists, command line input, file input and output, and hashing.

Lastly, the course will come to a close with a focus on subroutines and Regex. This covers arguments and return values, simple regular expressions, metacharacters and text manipulations.
