Top Experts and Certifications

Was looking at the Top Experts for the year to date on my profile page and noticed that the certification below each expert seemed a little low

For instance Andrew Hancock is listed as a Wizard and John Hurst as a Guru

Would I be right in guessing that this ranking is based on the average across all certifications earned?

I had seen the overall ranking for the experts which was why I got a little confused. Now you have pointed it out, I agree that it is the ranking for the year to date.

This looks more like a question than a discussion....

I posted here because it seems to be underselling the top experts

Yes, too right, cock on! Hey but nice that you looked!

Also there are Certifications/Rankings in the Zones, so I Rank as SAVANT in VMware, and Prodigy in Virtualization.

and as John mentioned Overall Rankings me - SAVANT, and there are Yearly Rankings as well "The Hall of Fame" - this was a recent change by EE in EEv10. e.g. the current status e.g. Wizard or Guru, for Yearly, if you select Overall, you'll get another view!

Hmmmm.  Or those that have been here a long time.  Or nothing else to do.  Or....
Someone with a load of points may be a better expert than someone with less but it should be treated with a little bit of caution.

@Andy

I'm 4th in the Hall of Fame, and only been here since 2011, not since the beginning of time.

and as for nothing else to do....

if you've not read my Spotlight...I encourage you to do so...

I've got lots to do....and find time for EE...
