Experience
Albemarle Corporation
Baton Rouge, Louisiana                                    May 2004-Present
Information Technology Services Support
Implementation of active directory from Windows NT was part of my first project at this company. This included creating group policy objects, adding containers with specific permissions and assigned GPOs to both users and computers, exporting user manager information of 356 users from Windows NT, creating all 356 new user accounts and 18 organizational unit administrators, adding 87 new groups for data access permissions, assigning correct permissions on 15 data servers to associate with active directory, assigning user permissions to data install directories, and creating a replication interval between 21 active directory servers. I have experience in installing and configuring VMWare on Windows Server 2003 as part of a migration of process control servers to subsidize on hardware. This involved 3 virtual servers (Windows NT Server, 2 Server 2003 servers) configured on a virtual switch on a single Windows Server 2003 system. Managing the processes, RAM sharing, and data control of these systems was vital to the success of the project. Configuration and management of WSUS was a part of my usual duties as monthly updates were approved by corporate and installed by me. From day to day, I manage 3Com 10/100 based switches. Server and client system management as well as development of IBM Lotus Notes databases on releases up to 7.0.2 is also a part of my support of 356 users. On rare occurrences, I perform maintenance and emergency updates to T1 interfaces as well as data recovery on server 2003 servers through Backup Executive 10.0. Disaster recovery is an important part of my job at this company as Louisiana is prone to many dangerous weather storms. Recently, I was needed to perform a hardware restore to our primary data server on a clone system during late hours as a result of a bad thunderstorm. This involved rebuilding a RAID 1 array and incrementally restoring data through Backup Executive 10.0. A portion of my duties during upgrade projects include work on fiber optic connections to remote areas by adding fiber cards to switches and pulling the fiber cable through conduit. Another of my daily projects entails standardization of imaging and deployment to save on workload and time constraints for the corporation. As I complete projects, creating technical announcements and alerts that are easy to understand are important and I distribute them to site personnel. Another yearly project of my site is to design and install complex multimedia conference rooms that save the corporation on travel expenses for face to face meetings. I am responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of 320 desktop and laptop computers on the manufacturing campus. Daily administration is enhanced through the use of Terminal Services and Remote Administrator. Another duty of mine is to perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on the 37 networked color and monochrome laser printers.

Blue Streak Technologies
Mandeville, Louisiana                        December 2003- May 2004
Information Technology Support
As a consultant to St. Tammany Parish Government, my duties involved creating an infrastructure for networking technologies between different departments of the local government. This included implementation of active directory across replicating Windows Server 2003 environments. I implemented basic group policy objects across the 13 organizational units for 180 users. Each user account was created by me along with group access to compliment the 3 data servers that existed in the company. As a part of the project, I implemented IIS on Windows Server 2003 to support 3 different websites and configured the T3 connection router to provide maximum throughput. Configuration and maintenance of Nortel VPN client routers between 14 locations was part of my task at this position. As a final phase of the project, I provided training to the parish IT staff through a series of presentations and labs. Deployment through Symantec Ghost was initiated to the clients across Dell business PCs. Standardizing images and documenting installs was a vital part of the project.

Nerdworks Computing
Baton Rouge, Louisiana                        August 2002 - March 2003
Technology Sales and Technician
Management of networking equipment within local small businesses included installation and repairs of Linksys wireless and wired products, Netgear products, and maintenance of ISP connections including Cable, ISDN, and T1 interfaces. I was in charge of designing new desktop PCs for customers needs. Sales were an important part of my duties as it ultimately decided the projects ahead. Servicing on desktop PCs as well as laptops was another important role of mine. Servicing took place on any and all types and brands of windows computers. Follow-up training was another specialty of mine not required by the company but provided as a personal preference. Training involved Microsoft office products, Windows operating system environments, and media interfaces to PCs.

Personal Experience
Installation and configuration of wired and wireless networks continues to be a primary request from small companies, family, and friends. Experience also includes managing, training and supporting LAN/WAN application and management software. I also have functioned as a consultant, installing, designing and training on network hardware infrastructure, servers, and workstations. I am involved in using Apple Macintosh systems at home running VMWare Fusion to support Windows XP and Vista clients. The setup and configuration are what interest me in this setup. I am a highly motivated person possessing excellent communication skills.

Education
University of Phoenix            Graduation Date June 2009
Baton Rouge, Louisiana                        3.95 GPA

I am currently enrolled in evening classes to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology. Classes are taken around my work and personal schedules.
Classes I have completed in the university have trained me well for the work I have accomplished. HTML coding with a concentration on CSS scripting has helped me through a complex arrangement of IIS installations on multiple servers. XML coding classes have advanced my Windows Vista deployment skills beyond most at my current position. C programming has been vital to debugging network applications running on Windows Server 2003 environments. Business systems analysis skills have furthered my career in project management and deployment solutions. Finally, database concepts have helped me grasp a firm understanding of complex SQL administration and customization.
