Oct 2015 Certified SAFe Agilist. (Scaled Agile Framework)

That was my first foray into the MS Certification world, 2 weeks, 4 test, 4 certs, no sleep. I have to say thanks to my friends and instructors I met at the Training Camp facilities, Samir, Martin, Mickey, Bob, David and Tom. Tom, I hope you were able to conquer that OEM problem once you got back home! :)
Over 30 years experience as a Developer, Business Analyst and Architect developing Specialized Application Systems around the following areas: Business Intelligence, Dashboards, Key Performance Indicators, Business Architecture, Content Management, Budgeting, General Ledger, Payroll, Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bill of Material, other Custom Data Entry and Reporting Systems.
I have developed systems and applications of various sizes since 1982. Early work was on early IBM PCs with straight BASIC programs and the original LOTUS spreadsheet macro code. Then I moved on to PICK systems which was a combo operating system/database system with pseudo SQL syntax Next came PDP and IBM minis and mainframes with REXX, SAS, my first exposure to Oracle and <gasp!> COBOL ,</gasp!> there I said it, but I did try to avoid it as much as possible.
Then I spent many happy years on Sun Solaris boxes with unix and Oracle databases. I worked with Oracle Databases and products from 1989 till a few years ago (05 or 06) when old clients faded away and new ones seemed to favor SQL Server for costs. Starting way back on Oracle 6 through 9i, have not had the opportunity lately to work with the newer versions.
Now I have migrated back to PC based servers and Microsoft SQL Server. I have been developing with SQL Server now since 2003. Production code in Versions 2000, 2005, 2008, 2012 and 2014.
I am a strong advocate for Agile Methodologies. (Any flavor that works for you) I got certified as a ScrumMaster with the Scrum Alliance in 2013. And in 2015, taking Agile and Scrum to the enterprise level, I am now a Certified SAFe Agilist, meaning I have been trained and passed the test for the Scaled Agile Framework at http://www.scaledagile.com/.
I signed up on EE way back in 2001, just to peruse the solutions. Answered a very few Oracle related questions in 2003 and just started actively pursuing climbing the ranks in early 2009. As I have heard other friends I've made on EE express about themselves, it can get a little obsessive/compulsive when you get started.
I work for a consulting company, Cadre5, LLC in Knoxville, Tennessee so services are available through them if desired or I may be available for part time work outside the office if conditions are acceptible.
Company website (not my design or anything:) http://www.cadre5.com
I enjoy helping people learn and solving problems on the EE site, but this is not the place to design complete systems. I along with many of the Qualified experts on this site make a living by doing this, please hire one of us to do the real work if that is what you are needing.
I can be contacted at work at chris [DOT] luttrell [AT] cadre5 [DOT] com
or at chris [DOT] luttrell [AT] gmail [DOT] com outside of work.
You will find most of my comments and answers around the Microsoft Database Zones as that is what I work in these days. As you can see from my profile above I do make a living at this type stuff and am just crazy enough to spend my free time here answering questions for free. I think it is the more instant gratification we experts get when someone accepts an answer and gives a glowing comment about how wonderful it was and how much it helped them. So all you question askers out there, let the experts know you appreciate their help, some days it's all we get. :)
Thanks,
Chris
