Senior Network Analyst - Core at The University of Winnipeg
More bioI am a experienced network analyst/engineer and enthusiast. During my downtime I will normally be found reading up on the lasted networking trend of studying for one of the many certifications I am interested in (CCNP/CCIE/CCDA+).
I am currently employed at the University of Winnipeg as a Network Administrator for the Applied Computer Science department.
My experience varies as I started back in high school on Linux systems and migrated towards Windows domains while working in Winnipeg. Today, my body of knowledge includes the basics: routing, switching, active directory, exchange, Windows and Linux integration and pretty much anything else. In addition to the basics, I am experienced in dynamic routing, BGP (IPv4/IPv6 and VPNV4/VPNV6), high availability and redundancy both on routing/switching hardware as well as HA designs within a Windows environment. I specialize in Cisco but I can work with almost anything.
Outside of work and IT in general, I enjoy the occasional fun activity (swimming, skiing, golfing, skating) and I am studying the Japanese language.
